I love this - you're so right that it's not talked about enough! Thank you for bringing attention to it.

It can be so sneaky! Especially when lifting and shifting the heavier things, I’ve personally found. Do you have any tips to share about dealing with integration symptoms?

Yes! To work with your own system, which requires knowing it. For some people they may need to move very slowly, or "voo" breathing; others may need to shake, journal, talk to a friend, or tap; others may need sensory support: weighted blankets, hot baths, sound baths, etc.

Personally for me, I need journaling, voice memo a friend, feldenkrais, stretching, walking in Nature, hot baths, tapping...and patience, compassion, acceptance, and time. :) I find I usually need to step away from showing up on social media and creating new things from scratch. I need to stick to routines that I don't need to think about too much because I get pretty distracted.

How about you?

Totally varies for me, but journaling, a bath, talking with a friend, and wrapping myself in a cozy blanket while watching reruns of soothing shows like Gilmore Girls or Good Witch help a lot. And drinking a lot of water and herbal infusions!! Thank you for sharing your insights here.
