My Mercury Retrograde Cazimi Lessons and Autumnal Equinox Intention
How I worked with mercury retrograde cazimi and autumnal equinox energy to receive insights into where I am currently healing – and how to open my heart
I don’t always ritualize the change of the seasons, and this is the first time that I had any knowledge about the concept of the cazimi. A cazimi, which comes from the Arabic term for “in the heart of the sun,” is when a planet is 1 degree away from the sun. This year, the mercury retrograde cazimi and autumnal equinox were within hours of one another, and about a day ahead of the new moon in Libra. For me, this felt like a universal sign that there was an opportunity for subconscious work and energetic healing.
My Autumnal equinox intention and why I closed my heart
The night of the cazimi and equinox, I set an intention: open my heart so that I can love myself and my people the way that I love my dog.
This might sound silly to you, but when I think about the way in which I just love on Potato, (whether he wants me to or not) it is with total openness, softness, and it is unconditional. And he gives me that love right back. Just think about it: if I could love myself and my people that way, we’d all feel really special and cherished.
