A penchant for perfectionism
But what happens when the perfectionism causes burnout? ✨ An intuitive reading
If you’re seeking support in nourishing your inner emo kid, might I suggest signing up for an intuitive reading or The Session? If you find my work impactful, I’d be honored if you would share it with others, upgrade to a paid subscription, or leave a tip, if you feel so inclined. As always, thank you for being here with me!
I struggle with consistency and often find myself pivoting my strategy before anything I’ve done can take root and produce fruit. It’s natural to have a penchant for perfectionism, but what happens when the perfectionism causes burnout?
Loss of motivation or ambition, scattered focus, cutting corners, and even leaning into avoidance tactics that resemble something like “laziness.”
Just me?
Now when I notice this happening I pull myself back more reflectively. Spend time in contemplation and stillness, or in meditative walks.
It’s impossible to receive the gifts being bestowed upon us if we aren’t looking at them. The truth is, what we’ve asked for has already manifested in little ways all around us.
When we allow space for spirit or our intuitions to speak to us, we can move from our own quiet truths instead of the anxiety and mental exertion surfaced courtesy of our unhealed wounds.
It’s in taking the peaceful action that those wounds start to heal, and that we can see we already have what we need.
